Pastor Charles King, Jr.’s

11th Year Pastoral Anniversary ~ Appreciation Celebration 2016

November 13, 2016

We will be blessed that day with the word being brought to us by Rev. Jeffery Smith, Associate Minister of Bethlehem Temple Missionary Baptist Church out of Harvey, IL.

The following theme and Scripture for this year’s Pastoral Anniversary/Appreciation serve as a reminder of the calling God gave and spoke to Pastor King 11 years ago regarding his assignment and responsibility to First Baptist Church West College Hill; and reciprocally, the church’s responsibility to Pastor King, as well as the entire body of Christ regarding His plans.

During this time of appreciation and adoration, we pay special tribute to Pastor King for his hard work, sacrificial dedication, and multiple blessings; and show appreciation to Lady King, Adrianna, Tre, and his entire family. It is important that appreciation, affirmation, prayer, and support continues throughout the entire year the way God instructs the church to recognize His servants “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.” (1 Timothy 5:17)

Theme: ‘The Bond of Spiritual Unity’

Scripture: Colossians 3:12-17 (MSG)

Charge to the Pastor and Family in the relation to the Church’:

“So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content…quick to forgive…and regardless of what else you put on, wear love…never be without it.”

Charge to the Church in relation to the Pastor and Family’:

“Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense…Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.”

Happy 11th Anniversary Pastor King and may God continue to bless, equip, and use you to His glory!
